Bringing Worlds Together Bursary – Architecture & Planning

Story

Financial stress can drastically impact a student’s chance of success at university. Whether they face an unforeseen emergency or they realize their savings, awards, and student loans will not cover their living expenses, thousands of Dalhousie students must seek additional financial support each year. Bursaries are a crucial way to provide immediate relief for these students.

Did you know?

Over 4,500 Dalhousie students applied for bursary support last year alone
•Bursaries provide meaningful financial support toward student living costs, including housing expenses, personal or family emergencies, food, academic resources, services, transportation, and technology
•Bursary support also provides emergency funding to students who experience a financial crisis or immediate food and housing insecurity

Every year, Dalhousie faculty, staff, and retirees give back to Dal in many ways, with support for students often the top choice for their generosity. With that in mind, we’ve created the Bringing Worlds Together Bursary – Architecture & Planning—a new way for faculty, staff, and retirees to give critical support to students in the Faculty of Architecture & Planning when they need it most.

Part of Bringing Worlds Together, Dalhousie’s campaign for transformational change, this new bursary fund will make it possible for many more students to focus on their education rather than on financial concerns.
