The Dalhousie hockey program has a rich history. With the ongoing construction of our new arena, this is an ideal time to capitalize on the momentum the Oulton-Stanish Centre has created and use this to help strengthen the men’s and women’s hockey programs. Both hockey programs are building momentum and looking to push the program to the next level. We are seeking support from our alumni and community to make this a reality.
Various programs across the country have had success with their hockey programs through the addition of a staff member that supports programs on and off the ice. In the past, Dalhousie’s program has benefited from having a support staff and we are looking to enhance our coaching support to propel our hockey teams forward over the next four years.
Impact
Enhanced coaching support would allow for a dedicated coach for the hockey programs – someone that can direct their energy by managing the camps, clinics and schools to support the teams and department, and assisting in building relationships with camp attendees, alumni/fans and community to allow our student-athletes to have a memorable experience during their time at Dalhousie.
The impact of your gift to our varsity hockey teams cannot be overstated. This fund will contribute to coaching support, exhibition travel, accommodations, team-specific equipment, and scholarships – all things that are essential to helping our student athletes reach their full potential.

From my time here as a young player attending camps, playing in summer leagues and training, through my varsity years as a student-athlete and then onto roles in coaching, all alumni have benefited from their time in the program.
